Spring Green

After a day in the 80s a week ago followed by several rainy days this week, trees and shrubs have started greening up in earnest. Yesterday's gray skies cast subtle light on a copse of trees east of the hospital. The rising ground at the left suggests an intriguing reversal of the earth's curvature.

That word 'copse' is fun. One can imagine a British Peer discussing plans with his chief gardener, or an Inspector from Scotland Yard testifying about where the loot was hidden.

"Perhaps it's time to trim the copse, eh, Percy?" or

"The bag was found buried -- rather hurriedly, Id say -- in a copse ouside Lethbridge."
