Lost Any Chickens?

Tuesday morning, and again this morning, we saw a flock of six chickens moving through our backyard on the east side of Northfield. I'm guessing their coop may have been damaged in Saturday's storm. I've reported the sightings to the Northfield police and am trying to get the word out. Leave a comment here or email me at penelopedia@gmail.com if you know of anyone who's lost any!

Update: As noted in the comments, the mystery has been solved - they belong to a neighbor and weren't roaming loose because of the storm.

The chicken mystery is solved -- I heard from the owner, who is a neighbor and is aware they are running loose while a coop is being built.

Glad you found the owner of the chickens. I have occasionbally found chickens and a goose that people apparently dumped in the wqoods after Easter -- one pair of chickens I rescued came from a freeway rest stop. We have a small flock and a coop and I still have the goose (the rescue chickens died of old age, but we have more.)
