Trying to photograph smallish birds in trees leads mostly to photographs that will never win awards or even be considered to be examples of bird photography. Making the best of a bad situation, I offer up to bored souls out there these three photos as "Hidden Pictures" such as you may have enjoyed in your youth. Find the bird in each scene - click on the photo for a larger view if you want the easier version (or clearer confirmation of your guesses). I believe I have put them in order of difficulty. Good luck!

Love the idea and have always loved the hidden pictures as a kid (and love trying to find them before my kids too).
I got 1 and 2 but 3 is not yet
Hee hee..wheres Waldo>
I found birds in one and two after enlarging..noting seen in three...maybe a nest..
Look forward to the answers.
1. Hairy Woodpecker
2. Flycatcher (??)
3. Totally hidden.
I'll give you a hint on #3: the bird is upright with its tummy facing the camera, but partially obscured by a branch.
Top: bird with pretty feathers
Middle: bird with light tail
Bottom: no bird. If you saw one it was a mirage, a chimera, an hallucination.
Can't decide if this is is fun or torture.
I have posted the solutions to the Hidden Pictures here. Thanks for playing!
