FeederWatch 2011

On January 1 and 2, we kept our first Project FeederWatch log. I'll track our results here as well. The idea is to pick a two-day observation period every week (or less often; if reporting results via paper forms rather than online, reporting is limited to every two weeks) and track the largest number of each species seen near one's birdfeeder(s) at the same time. That way you can be sure you are not counting the same birds twice. Project FeederWatch is an annual citizen science project of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Bird Studies Canada. The reporting period began in November and extends to early April. You can see complete Minnesota results for each two-week reporting period here.
