Hoarfrosty Morning

Here are some photos I took this morning, on Maple St. near Sibley School and down by the riverfront. In places, the frost is an inch thick.

What makes the hoar frost dramatic is that it only forms on the thinner branches, leaving the trunks and heavier limbs bare. I don't know why that is, but the contrast is so striking, and you've captured it well.
